In connection with SDEA’s anniversary, we are sponsoring a Food Drive with the San Diego Food Bank to help feed the approximately 400,000 people who receive aid from the SDFB each month. We would be so happy to see our members in person at the event, or in our offices.
Donations can be brought to SDEA’s offices at 8799 Balboa Ave. Suite 135, 92123, from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM on Thursdays from April11 through May 16, and can also be brought to the anniversary event.
Most needed food items include canned chicken and tuna, dry and canned beans, rice, canned and dried foods, powdered milk, and infant formula. Please consider nutritional choices such as low sodium and low sugar items.
Please lend a hand in providing much needed nutrition assistance to our fellow San Diegans.
And please join us for our 110th Anniversary networking event. On May 16, we will be celebrating 110 years of helping small to mid-size businesses in their success. A representative from the U.S. Small Business Administration, San Diego District will be available to share information on funding opportunities. The event will be held at the Julep Venue on Hancock street and will include handcrafted cocktails (and mocktails), hors d’oeuvres, and a chance to speak with fellow San Diego business owners and HR professionals.
Your food donations will get you raffle tickets for some great prizes, including tickets to San Diego attractions such as the Zoo and Sea World, the latest technology devices, and versatile gift cards. Raffle tickets can also be purchased with the proceeds going to the San Diego Food Bank.
