Since California has seen a dramatic increase in the percentage of Californians that are fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid, the California Department of Public Health has rescinded testing requirements that had applied to health care workers who were exempt from the mandated Covid vaccine.  As a reminder, health care employees were required to get vaccinated against Covid unless they met the requirements for either medical or religious exemptions.  In those two cases, health care workers were required to get tested for Covid weekly.  Effective September 17, 2022, this is no longer a requirement.

Skilled Nursing facilities must continue to comply with current federal requirements that may require more stringent testing of staff.
